Young Women's Leadership Training (YWLT) (12th Feb, 2026
Every Christian leader in every generation must return to the measures God uses
to evaluate our leadership and the values of God’s kingdom.
YWLT defines a faithful leader by who she is becoming and by what is happening
in the lives of the people she shepherds.
It shapes:
Christ-like character
Sound doctrine and discernment
Prayerful dependence
A servant posture
Shepherding love
Disciple-making fruit
Faithful stewardship and accountability
EC Meeting (Feb - 2026)
The Executive Committee meets physically once a year to discuss annual
programmes, present the yearly budget, and address other important matters
related to member bodies. During this meeting, necessary decisions are taken
for the smooth functioning and growth of the union.
In addition to the physical meeting, a minimum of three to four virtual
meetings are held during the year whenever urgent needs or important matters
have to be addressed.
1st President's Summit (27th April, 2025)
The purpose and objective of organising the President Summit are:
To bring closer relations and understanding between the member bodies.
To have fellowship and exchange ideas on ministry.
To orient member bodies on IBWU aims and objectives.
15th general Assembly (1st - 3rd Oct, 2024)
IBWU conducts General Assembly once in every five years. The recent 15th IBWU General Assembly was held at Chennai 1st to 3rd October, 2024. India consists of 28 states with various languages and cultural values. During the time of General assembly all the 23 conventions from all over India came together to celebrate GOD’s faithfulness in their lives. During this time they celebrated by displaying their cultural events through singing and dancing from various states of India.
Our next General Assembly will be held in the year 2029 in Mizoram state.
Day of Prayer (2021)
Theme: “For I am the Lord that healeth thee” (Exodus 15:26)
IBWU organized a national day of prayer during the Covid-19 crisis, encouraging believers to seek God’s protection, healing, and strength.
Included: • Praise & thanksgiving • Prayer for ministries and leaders • Support for affected families • National and global concerns
Women Helping Women – Covid Relief (21 Apr 2021)
IBWU women stepped out to extend helping hands to those affected by the COVID-19 pandemic and lockdowns. This initiative reflected a true spirit of compassionate ministry, as women of God came together to serve and support those in need during a time of crisis.
In August 2020, with funds provided by ABWU, a total of 107 severely affected families were reached with essential supplies including rice, dal, wheat, cooking oil, sugar, salt, and phenyl. This relief effort was carried out through four member bodies: Maharashtra Baptist Women’s Union, Maharashtra Canadian Baptist Churches of Northern Circars, Andhra Pradesh, and the Assam Tripura Baptist Women’s Society, Tripura.
IBWU Executive Virtual Meeting (2020)
Held on 28th April 2020, IBWU conducted a virtual executive meeting.
Members expressed solidarity with Myanmar and united in prayer against violence and injustice faced by women.

IBWU observed multiple prayer events in 2020 including:
